MARKETING COMMITTEE

The Marketing Committee strengthens SHA’s brand presence and promotes its programs, events, and initiatives across the industry. This committee works collaboratively to ensure SHA remains visible, relevant, and respected within healthcare subrogation and beyond.

What You’ll Work On:

Developing promotional materials for conferences, webinars, and initiatives
Supporting website content strategy in coordination with the Technology & Communications Committee
Identifying outreach opportunities within related segments of the insurance and benefits industries
Assisting with sponsor identification and supporting sponsorship fulfillment

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE

The Education & Certification Committee drives SHA’s year-round educational initiatives, including webinars and the development of the SHA Certification Program. This committee plays a critical role in strengthening professional standards and expanding learning opportunities within healthcare subrogation.

What You'll Work On:

Identifying and developing webinar topics and speakers
Assisting in organizing and executing quarterly educational webinars
Reviewing attendance data and identifying educational trends
Developing certification curriculum, lecture content, and testing protocols
Recommending pricing models for webinars and certification programs

MEMBERSHIP OUTREACH COMMITTEE

The Membership Outreach Committee focuses on expanding and enhancing the value of SHA membership. This group ensures members feel supported, connected, and engaged.

What You’ll Work On:

Promoting membership benefits to prospective and current members
Identifying member satisfaction opportunities and recommending improvements
Encouraging and guiding members toward committee involvement and leadership roles
Supporting retention and outreach initiatives

CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

The Conference Committee develops and delivers SHA’s Annual and Regional Conferences — creating meaningful, high-impact educational and networking experiences for members. This committee works closely with conference leadership and SHA administration to shape the vision, content, and logistics of each event.

What You'll Work On:

Developing conference themes, content tracks, and session agendas
Reviewing and selecting speaker submissions in accordance with SHA guidelines
Recommending conference fees and program structure
Providing input on site selection, meeting space, and overall event experience

TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

The Technology & Communications Committee ensures SHA’s digital presence remains modern, functional, and informative. This committee supports the delivery of timely information and educational resources to members and the broader industry.

What You’ll Work On:

Reviewing and updating website content for accuracy, relevance, and ease of navigation
Evaluating industry websites and emerging technologies to keep SHA competitive
Monitoring website functionality and reporting technical issues
Supporting digital communication strategies

ADVOCACY COMMITTEE

The Advocacy Committee serves as SHA’s voice in protecting and advancing subrogation and reimbursement rights nationwide. This committee works at the forefront of legal and industry developments, supporting efforts that strengthen and defend our profession.

What You’ll Work On:

Identifying and evaluating opportunities for amicus brief participation in state and federal courts
Recommending and vetting experienced brief writers nationwide
Drafting or coordinating amicus briefs on issues impacting subrogation and reimbursement
Collaborating with the Marketing Committee to promote speaking and writing opportunities within other trade organizations and industry publications
